On  December  12th,  2024,  EDII  and  the
                                                                 Himachal  Pradesh  State  Rural  Livelihood
                                                                 Mission (HPSRLM) jointly conducted a one-day
                                                                 refresher training programme. It was attended
                                                                 by 53 women Community Resource Persons -
                                                                 Enterprise Promotion (CRP-EPs) in Mashobra
                                                                 block  of  Himachal  Pradesh.  The  primary
                                                                 objective was to build the skills and capacities
                                                                 to  promote  entrepreneurship  within  their
                                                                 community. The session was led by Mr. Sanjay
                                                                 Rana, State Anchor; Mr. Avanish Mishra, EDII
                                                                 mentor and other HPSRLM officials.
                           A five-day training programme in progress at Bareilly and Deoria districts for Community
                           Resource  Persons  -  Enterprise  Promotion  (CRP-EP).    80  youths  were  trained  in  these
                           programmes.
                 Ishrat Mushtaq Community Resource Persons - Enterprise Promotion (CRP-EPs) under SVEP
                                                           Ishrat  Mushtaq's  journey  is  a  true  testament  of
                                                           resilience  and  determination.  Despite  facing
                                                           numerous challenges; she never let anything hold
                                                           her back. While she was expecting her child, she
                                                           filled  up  the  form  for  the  SVEP  programme,
                                                           attended training sessions, and even appeared for
                                                           exams. She was often discouraged by people around
                                                           her but she persisted, believing that pregnancy was
                                                           just a physiological condition and not a deterrent in
                                                           any way. She continued with her usual work. When
                                                           she  joined  as  a  Community  Resource  Person–
                                                           Enterprise Promotion (CRP-EP) her son was just 17
                                                           days  old.  She  joined  as  a  Self-Help  Group  (SHG)
                                                           member  and  later  became  President  of  Village
                                                           Organizer (VO).

                             Dr. Rajesh Gupta, Programme Director, underscored the importance of such initiatives
                             in fostering a thriving entrepreneurial ecosystem and empowering rural communities.
                             Dr. Gupta reiterated SVEP's commitment to fostering innovation and self-reliance
                             among rural entrepreneurs, thus ensuring a brighter future for the region.
