On January 16th, 2025, Hon'ble Chief Minister of J&K, Mr. Omar Abdullah, inaugurated the
                             programme  from  the  Convocation  Center  in  Jammu.  In  his  address,  he  highlighted  the
                             importance of women's financial independence, emphasizing its role in empowering individuals
                             and families and driving societal progress.
                             Dr. Sunil Shukla, Director General, EDII addressed the participants at the valedictory function of
                             the programme and   expressed sincere gratitude to the Hon'ble Chief Minister of Jammu &
                             Kashmir,  Omar  Abdullah,  for  his  unwavering  support  to  this  vital  initiative.  Dr.  Shukla
                             appreciated the Jammu & Kashmir Rural Livelihoods Mission (JKRLM) for their outstanding
                             efforts  in  empowering  women  entrepreneurs  across  the  region.  He  acknowledged  the
                             significant female representation within the programme, highlighting the critical role of women
                             in driving economic growth and social development.
                             Role of Community Resource Persons - Enterprise Promotion (CRP-EPs)    5
                              The role of Community Resource Persons-Enterprise Promotion (CRP-EPs) under the
                              Startup  Village  Entrepreneurship  Program  (SVEP)  is  crucial  in  fostering  rural
                              entrepreneurship.  They  conduct  training  sessions  for  Community-Based
                              Organizations (CBOs), Self-Help Groups (SHGs), Village Organizations (VOs), and
                              Cluster-Level Federations (CLFs), guiding them on enterprise development. They
                              facilitate  entrepreneurship  awareness,  idea  generation,  and  business  planning
                              while  providing  general  orientation,  soft  skills  training,  and  field-based  idea
                              validation.  CRP-EPs  support  entrepreneurs  in  accessing  loans,  offer  continuous
                              handholding  during  the  startup  phase,  and  track  performance  through  the
                              Performance  Tracking  System  (PTS)  for  six  months.  They  establish  market  and
                              financial linkages, collaborate with banks, and update enterprise reports through
                              the Village Enterprise IT (VE IT) platform.
