On the same lines, Micro Skillpreneurship Development Programmes (MSDPs), initiated by
EDII in collaboration with Accenture Foundation, are generating appreciable results. Today,
the project spans 14 states and 1 Union Territory 2024-25. The project is empowering
women and youths in rural and urban areas to create skilled microentrepreneurs by
training, providing access to sustainable technologies and business models. Hearteningly,
In 2024-2025, the programme trained 22 LGBTQIA and 50 PwDs. In all, 5639+ beneficiaries
got trained as on January 2025.
Vocal for local exhibition organised under the Micro Skillpreneurship development
programmes in Nirmal district of Telangana The exhibition was inaugurated by Smt.
Abhilasha Abhinav, IAS- Collector & District Magistrate & Mr. Faizan Ahmed, IAS, Additional
Collector, Local Bodies. Also present were Smt. Vijaya Laxmi- District Rural Development
Agency- Project Director (DRDA-PD), Sri Subhash- Mission for Elimination of Poverty in
Municipal Areas- Project Director (MEPMA-PD), Smt Radha Rathod- Mandal Parishad
Development Officer (MPDO), and Smt. Nagamani- Child Development Project Officer
(CDPO).
Smt. D. Anasuya Seethakka, Hon'ble Panchayat Raj and Rural Development Minister,
Govt.of Telangana, visited EDII stall at Nirmal, Telangana. Over 300 women participated
showcasing their unique products.
Another unique platform, WeAct Implemented by EDII and Supported by Accenture
successfully concluded Unnati 3.0, under the Unnati Mentorship Programme. This initiative
provided rural women entrepreneurs with valuable business growth insights. The Unnati
exhibition was held across eight prominent Accenture locations, generating sales worth
Rs.4,50,000 across all locations. Rural women entrepreneurs got a unique platform to
promote their products within the corporate sector.
WeAct also organized five successful Vocal for Local exhibitions in Andhra Pradesh, Uttar
Pradesh, Maharashtra, and Telangana. It also launched a Canopy Campaign across remote
regions in the Begusarai block of Bihar. In December, over 100 individual enterprises joined
the Vocal for Local initiative in Madurai.

Project RISE, a joint initiative by EDII and the Industrial Development Bank of India Ltd. aims
to revitalize rural and peri-urban communities in Dehradun (Uttarakhand), Kashipur
(Odisha) and Kamrup (Assam). Over the past two months, several programmes have been
undertaken, including Technology-based Entrepreneurship Development Programme
(TEDPs), leading to training of 155 individuals in the last two months in technology-based
areas. In all, till date 648+ individuals have been imparted training.
Under Subhalaxmi Udyogini Project supported by Vedanta Ltd., 5152 members were
enrolled and 2473 were addressed with inputs on enterprise services and market linkages,
in 106 villages that are part of 22 Gram panchayats and 3 blocks in the Jharsuguda district.

Project Hand-Made in India 2024-27 (Phase-II), supported by HSBC is in its first year. So far,
370 artisans have been impacted through skill and design upgradation programmes, thus
empowering them to function as 'artpreneurs'. Their business has got rejuvenated and
they have started registering notable sales and growth. Over the last two months, the
project successfully conducted 18 programmes, reaching out to over 500 participants
through various initiatives across Bhuj and Erode clusters. A total 441 new beneficiaries
were enrolled (321 in Bhuj and 120 in Erode) for training and handholding.
Strengthening communities, empowering the disadvantaged and the marginalized is at the
core of sustainable and comprehensive development. EDII seeks to ably shoulder this
responsibility with the support of corporates.
