Dausa Leather Cluster, Rajasthan
Ms. Swati Sharma, Joint Secretary (RL-
II), Ministry of Rural Development, Govt.
of India, visited Dausa Leather Cluster in
Rajasthan and interacted with the
artisans, reviewing their progress and
discussing future strategies. She
acknowledged EDII's efforts in
transforming the cluster by enhancing
artisan's skills, strengthening business
acumen and expanding market
opportunities for their leather products.
Cluster development interventions of EDII have led to holistic growth of clusters by
impacting technology, production, raw material sourcing, networking, convergence with
government schemes and several other critical business related factors, informed Project
Director Dr. Rajesh Gupta, Associate Professor, EDII.
Advanced Management Development Programme
Participants of 1-week Advanced Management Development Programme (MDP)
on ‘Advanced Business Analytics’ with ( L - R ) Dr. Sunil Shukla, Director General, EDII;
Dr. Rajeev Sharma, Programme Director and Mr. Gopal Kumar Roy, Asst. Professor,
EDII. The programme was conducted during January 20-24, 2025, under
Entrepreneurship Skill Development Programme (ESDP) Scheme of Ministry of
Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME), Govt. of India, at EDII.
The objective of the programme was to provide exposure to emerging technologies
and management practices so that the participating MSMEs learn the techniques to
enhance their efficiency to ensure competitive advantages in the dynamic business
environment. By the end of the programme, the MSMEs were expected to make data-
driven decision making use of various business analysis tools, techniques and
platforms, leading to predictive analysis. 25 MSMEs from various domains including
textiles, food processing, IT, handicraft etc. participated.
