Driving Innovation:
CrAdLE's Impact on Startups and
Entrepreneurial Ecosystems
CrAdLE (Centre for Advancing and Launching Enterprises), EDII's Technology Business
Incubator initiated in 2016 was catalysed and supported by the National Science and
Technology Entrepreneurship Development Board (NSTEDB), DST, Govt. of India. CrAdLE
has been guiding, supporting and mentoring tech-based startups primarily in the areas of
manufacturing, food processing, renewable energy, healthcare and other emerging sectors.
Till January 2025, 130 startups had been incubated by CrAdLE. In the months of December
and January.
• MBA students from Sardar Vallabhbhai Global University visited CrAdLE as part of their
Case Research Project. The visit focused on understanding the challenges and solutions
related to raising funds for small businesses. The students explored CrAdLE's ecosystem
and learn about assistance for startups and funding processes.
• CrAdLE EDII hosted a webinar by Shri Ravi Bhardwaj, Lawyer & Founder of Startup Legal.
The session was attended by over 90 participants, who gained valuable insights into
legal aspects important for startups, such as Intellectual Property Rights, contract
negotiation, fund raising compliance and risk management.
EDII, in collaboration with Dhirubhai Ambani University School of Law, organized a seminar to explore
Entrepreneurship and Intellectual Property Rights (IPR), for over 70 participants. The participants were addressed
by Prof. Srividhya Ragavan , Professor of Law, Texas A&M University and Shri Prakalpa Sharma,Dy Registrar (Law),
IIT Kanpur.
