Goa Fosters a Thriving Entrepreneurial

                          Ecosystem




                          The state of Goa is on the trajectory of fostering innovations and technology, to diversify its
                          entrepreneurial landscape. Moving beyond its traditional reliance on mining and tourism,
                          Goa focuses on scaling its growth through promotion of enterprises. EDII's Goa Centre has
                          been established with the patronage of EDC Limited, Goa. The Centre is dedicated to
                          promoting entrepreneurship, innovations, startups and MSMEs in Goa.

                          In last two months, 2 Entrepreneurship Development Programmes (EDPs), organized by
                          EDII in collaboration with EDC Ltd., were held in Goa during January 8-10 and 28-30, 2025.
                          The primary objective of these programmes was to equip participants with practical skills
                          essential  for  effective  business  management.  The  programmes  covered  key  topics  on
                          entrepreneurship,  business  planning,  marketing  strategies,  financial  management  and
                          legal compliances.

                                                              Additionally,  in  collaboration  with  District  Rural
                                                              Development Agency (DRDA), a five-day - 'Training
                                                              the Livelihood Cadres' programme was organized
                                                              during January 13-18, 2025. The programme was
                                                              attended  by  35  participants.  The  focus  of  the
                                                              programme was to establish cadres of livelihood
                                                              consultants  with  skills  to  accelerate  rural
                                                              entrepreneurship  and  enterprise  development.
                                                              The consultants were equipped with skills related
                                                              to  business  plan  preparation,  enterprise
                                                              management, and performance tracking.
