EDII is engaged in implementation of various projects under the support of Central / State
Govts, development organizations and corporates. The projects pertain largely to
development of MSME sector, livelihood generation, skill development and
empowerment of the marginalized and the disadvantaged. The projects are making real-
life impact and winning recognition from the stakeholders. Work under various projects
are also leading to development of 'pilot models' for replication, adaptation and
dissemination by other agencies.
Broadly the Institute seeks to engage itself in policy-making, project designing,
implementation and monitoring & evaluation. The large infrastructure base of EDII,
covering almost the entire country, wide experience and knowledge are great facilitators in
achieving results. In addition to the impact getting created, the projects also generate
ground-level experiences as well as useful conceptual / academic insights.
Project implementation till date, and over the last two months, have been noticeable in
the domains of cluster growth, empowerment of women, youth and the disadvantaged,
and livelihood generation. All activities under corporate CSR partnerships are being
orchestrated by Dr. Raman Gujral, Director- Dept. of Projects (Corporates), and Regional
Director- Southern Regional Office, EDII.
