Heralding Entrepreneurial Initiatives in

                          the Agriculture Sector

Entrepreneurship in agriculture has the potential to induce innovation and dynamism in
this sector. Agri-business requires an entrepreneurial approach with an understanding of
the market and consumer dynamics. Alterations in consumer preferences, demand for
nutritive food, increased rural unemployment, food grain wastage due to lack of
stockpiling etc., have tremendously risen scope for improvements in agri-business domain
in India and across the globe. EDII has, therefore, been actively working in this field.

ensure growth of Agri-business enterprises. The programme enhanced awareness of the
concept and sought to impart understanding and skills in the areas of pitching, markets
and consumer behavior. The participants also learnt about entrepreneurial skills and

programme has ignited a fresh wave of entrepreneurial thinking, ushering in a new era for
agri-entrepreneurship. There are abundant opportunities in this field, and its good to see
