For  hands-on  training,  participants  also  visited  prominent  industrial  sites,  including
 Siddhachakra Weaving Pvt. Ltd., Ahmedabad, and the iconic Statue of Unity. They observed
 diverse  business  operations  and  factors  involved  in  achieving  business  growth.  The
 programme was conducted under the leadership of Dr. Satya Ranjan Acharya, Programme
 Director and Dr. Lalit Arora, Programme Coordinator.
 In all, the programme saw active participation from 31 defence personnel, including 17
 from  the  Army,  5  from  the  Navy,  and  9  from  the  Air  Force,  posted  across  India.  The
 valedictory of the programme was held on 30th August, 2024 and was graced by eminent
 guests Brig. N V Nath, Group Commander NCC Group, Ahmedabad and Lt Col Rakesh
 Kumar, Indian Army.
 Brig. N V Nath emphasized the importance of such trainings in shaping successful ventures.
 He stated, "Training is about acquiring knowledge, but more important is to apply that
 knowledge effectively in the real world. The success of this programme will be determined
 by how well these defence personnel are able to translate their learning into viable business
 ventures.”
 Lt  Col  Rakesh  Kumar,  Indian  Army,
 remarked,  "Our  armed  forces
 personnel  have  demonstrated
 remarkable courage and leadership in
 defending  the  nation.  They  already
 have unique personality traits that will
 help  them  face  the  odds  in  their
 entrepreneurial  journey,  and  this
 knowledge  will  further  add  wings  to
 their dreams.”
 At the Valediction, Dr. Sunil Shukla, Director General, EDII said, "Entrepreneurial skills can
 ease the process of transitioning from armed forces into civilian life. This programme was
 especially designed with the motive of helping armed force personnel leverage on their
 unique personality attributes, acquire entrepreneurial skills and competencies and float
 their own businesses. I am happy we could train, counsel and handhold them appropriately.”
