Shri Gaurav Parmar, owner of RINTEX Ltd and a ISO 9000 company presently operational in more than 40 countries and a pass out of EDII in the year 2000, was unanimously recommended by the jury for EDII President’s Alumnus Award for the year 2017.
EDII Alumnus Special Jury Award, 2018
Applying the professional learning into practice by facilitation of rural communities to own their developmental projects as well as conceive and implement those on a professional mode. Touched around 23000 families spread across 245 villages in 6 districts in Andhra Pradesh, in his 12 years’ of service. He mainly developed areas like Farmer’s Economic Development through sustainable agriculture, enterprise development to the rural youth, livelihood promotion, environment protection, etc.

Initiated a new venture into steel plant foundries, induction furnace, etc. Having a turnover of more than 70 crores, he is currently operating at Saudi Arabia, Iran, UAE and Africa. Having manufacturing facilities at Saudi Arabia and Ghana, he is in the process of going public within next two-three years.

Joined his family business of corrugated board and boxes/machinery sales and service in 2000. Later established a new company at Daman and expanded his existing facility at Rajkot with first of its kind Chinese manufacturing facilities in India. In 2011, he became the sole owner of the company and from revenue of 53 crores, has gone upto 100 crores in the current financial year. He has also created employment opportunities to more than 120 persons. As part of his growth plans, he is planning to go public within next two years.

Created a microfinance enterprise providing developmental & financial services for livelihood economic activities to poor farmers, socially and economically underdeveloped women and farmers. Currently own loan portfolios and beneficiaries in remote village of Rajasthan and has developed India’s first moisture retention technology application common facility centre for citrus growers. Prepared Community Operational Manual for Rajasthan Rural Livelihoods Project worth INR 1500 Cr supported by World Bank for promotion of BPL-SHGs in Rajasthan. He has created first NGO in India which got empanelled under MGNREGS as partner with state and central government; has played an operational role in the development of community manual of RAJVEEIKA, project worth 1500 Cr which is documented in World Bank & GoR.
Special Jury Award for Emerging Entrepreneur, 2020
Jay’s venture ‘MUVR Technology’ Private Limited provides all types of logistics to various industries including multi model logistics solutions by rail and sea within domestic market. MUVR is also a business associate of Container Corporation of India CONCOR to access their railway infrastructure. Jay’s start-up was recognized in Top 40 rising start-ups of Gujarat and it featured in the Coffee Table Book on ‘Rising Startups’ at the Vibrant Gujarat Startup Summit. MUVR also got the recognition of best start-up in the series of ‘The World of Start-up.’

In March 2010, with personal finance of ₹ 60 lakh, Priti launched her enterprise – Awesome Sparklers – specialising in designer diamond jewellery, targeting women above 30. Exclusively designed by Priti, the jewellery brand was created from 18-carat gold and embellished with diamonds and gem stones. Priti sources raw material from Surat and Mumbai. Elegant, ready-to-wear jewellery pieces and also high-end jewellery are manufactured in the technically advanced factory of Awesome Sparklers. Honoured with several prestigious awards Priti’s brand has been promoted on several reputed platforms. Awesome Sparklers has crossed the turnover of ₹ 80 crore and has a customer base in the national and international markets.

Govind Bajaj started his enterprise ‘Balaji Industries’ in the domain of cotton and cotton yarn in 2007. What started as a small unit, recording a turnover of Rs 2 cr. In the first year, has today reached a turnover of Rs. 75 crores. He provides employment to 40 people and is directly or indirectly supporting around 4000 farmers. Govind was recognized with the ‘Udyog Award’ by MSEB.
EDII President’s Alumnus Award 2022-Business Entrepreneur
Ronak is the partner at Harihar Bricks Mfg. Company & Harihar Bricks Studio, one of the top brick manufacturers in Gujarat. All their products are manufactured in India. The firm presents India’s widest range of clay bricks with 210+ brick variants of international quality in hundreds of shades, textures, and formats. Ronak bid for a project in Abu Dhabi to construct a Hindu temple with 50 other bidders from Gujarat and got selected for the project. The business has a strong presence in Europe, Oceania, and Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC). He exports to almost 46 countries.
Special Jury Award for Emerging Entrepreneur, 2022
Co-founder of Theka Coffee, Abhishek has launched this new generation coffee chain that sources 100% Arabica coffee beans from a single estate and attempts to offer it to the end consumer at competitive prices. Theka Coffee got recognition in Shark Tank India. Theka received funding from an international VC firm, Zenith Global Trading LLC of Rs 2.5 Crore. They also have a contract of entering into all Reliance Mart outlets with Theka Kiosks, PAN India.

Vinod started manufacturing of Synthetic Organic Dyestuff. He is now the Chairman & Managing Director of Arunaya Organics Pvt Ltd/Chinmay Chemicals Pvt Ltd and has been the Chairman of Confederation of Indian Industries (CII), Gujarat State. He is also the Director of Asiatic Hong Kong Ind. Ltd., HK and ACCIL Shanghai Ltd. A Gold Medalist from EDII, he has received many awards on prestigious platforms. His success story has got published in several business magazines.

Dibyajyoti, has over 15 years of experience in microfinance, micro-enterprise development and development sector consulting. He served as Vice President of Microfinance Network and is an active member of its Board. He is now the Director of his own company, Annapurna Finance Private Limited, Bhubaneshwar, which has created employment for more than 8000 people and has an investment of Rs. 9,220 crores. His experience and expertise played a crucial role in the transformation of mission Annapurna to Annapurna Finance Private Limited, which under his guidance and leadership is now one of the top MFIs in India.

Geeta started her Social Enterprise in 2018 (Unipads India Pvt. Ltd.). Her enterprise is into manufacturing of reusable sanitary pads. More than 8,00,000 women nationally and internationally have benefited and more than 135 women have worked for Unipads which has helped their families move a step towards achieving financial stability. Her vision is to provide a sustainable solution for menstrual hygiene for underprivileged women.This product is also internationally recognized.
EDII President’s Alumnus Award 2023-Business Entrepreneur
Vivek is the Director of Chemshel, Purulia, West Bengal, world ’s leading manufacturers of Seedlac and Aleuritic acid. Under Vivek’s leadership, Chemshel ventured into the manufacturing of Ambrettolide, a perfumery chemical used widely in fine fragrance, detergents, body care and home care products, which is a replacement to the traditional Musk from animals. Vivek is the recipient of ‘Entrepreneur of the Year Award, 2022 by South Bengal Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Chemshel is providing support to more than 1500 tribal families in Chota Nagpur region by procuring LAC from them.

Tapan is the Managing Director of Kutch Agrotech Pvt. Ltd., Bhuj and Managing Partner of Ecocell, A Catalyst for Change, which is into trading of Date Palm Plants & Products. Started his career from Kutch, Gujarat, he focussed on Date Palm cultivation. He has tie-ups with renowned tissue culture laboratories of UK, UAE, France and Iran working specially in Date Palm propagation. He started importing quality planting material from 2007 onwards. In due course he expanded his area of operation out of Gujarat to Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra and Rajasthan. He has covered more than 10000 acres of Date Palm plantation in low rainfall areas of India. Committed to transforming the status of farmer in becoming agripreneur, his initiative is not only helping farmers in their livelihood but also improving their financial stake in the society.

Abhishek More is the Founder and CEO of NSE-listed Digikore Studios Ltd. A visionary entrepreneur with over 23 years of experience in content production and VFX for film and television, Abhishek has dedicated 13+ years to Visual Effects (VFX) for films, episodic series, and commercials. Under his leadership, Digikore Studios has established creative partnerships with major studios including Disney/Marvel, Netflix, Amazon, Apple, Warner Bros., Paramount, and Lions gate. His studio has contributed to over 250 Hollywood films, TV series, web series, and commercials, showcasing his exceptional talent and industry influence. He is the recipient of the Pride of Maharashtra Award.

Ramesh Chandra Jena, a partner at MART and the co-founder of MART Academy, has over 24 years of extensive experience in project management, consulting, and strategy formulation for bi-lateral and multilateral projects. Specializing in promoting livelihoods, agri-business and marketing and sustainability, Ramesh focuses on uplifting communities at the Bottom of the Pyramid. He has facilitated numerous training programs, overseeing more than 300 batches for social sector professionals, government officers, and corporate executives. His consulting support spans a wide array of initiatives, including those supported by renowned organizations like ADB, World Bank and I FAD, as well as collaborations with corporate entities such as HUL, HPCL, Colgate, Tata Wiron, and Novartis.
Ramesh’s international experience extends to Nepal, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, and the UK, while his work within India has reached out to over 20 states. His significant contributions include pioneering initiatives like Project Shakti for HUL, Rasoi Ghar for HPCL, and Arogya Parivar for Novartis, among others. Recognized for his impactful contributions, Jena has been honoured by prestigious institutions like the National Agriculture Market (APMC)-eNAM and SIDBI in India.

Gaurav Agarwal is the Director of MJB Group of Companies, one of the fastest- growing business conglomerates in the eastern part of the country, with diverse businesses in rice, tea, internet services, real estate, and sale of Tata Motors passenger vehicles. Under his leadership, MJB Group has grown exponentially, providing employment to over 2,000 people. The company is making significant contributions to regional development through pioneering projects such as North Bengal’s first luxury housing project, the tallest tower in North Bengal, the first true shopping mall in the region, a low-cost housing project in Siliguri under Pradhan Mantri Gramin Awaas Yojna (PMGAY), and a large-scale MIG housing project in North Bengal. Recognized as the Times Man of the Year in Agricultural Business, Gaurav continues to drive innovation and growth across various sectors.

As the President of Gramya Vikash Mancha, Prithibhusan Deka has pioneered transformative social initiatives across Assam. Under his guidance, the organization has rescued 347 children from traffickers and vulnerable situations, significantly reducing school dropout rates in various districts. Prithibhusan Deka’s leadership has also facilitated sustainable irrigation practices benefiting thousands of hectares of agricultural land.
Moreover, he has empowered thousands of women farmers, mitigated girls trafficking along the Indo-Bhutan border, and implemented critical infrastructure projects like elevated platforms and flood shelters in flood-prone areas. Through his tireless efforts, Prithibhusan Deka has enhanced the livelihood opportunities of marginalized communities, provided crucial support to households affected by floods, and promoted traditional crafts like handloom weaving among tribal women. He has been honoured with several prestigious awards including; DinBandhobi Suchibrata Raichoushury Samaj Sewa Award and Ambikagiri Smarak Nyash Guwahati Assam.
