Mrs. Pranali, a determined woman from a middle-class background, exemplifies the power of hard work and vision. Despite having only a 10th-grade education, she initially expanded her iron chain making business after receiving some training. However, she felt a desire to explore new opportunities. She consulted with EDII trainer and changed the sector. After getting proper information on project selection process, she decided to start a food processing unit.
Under the guidance of trainer, she conducted market survey and decided to establish an edible oil mill. The EDII team played a crucial role in supporting Mrs. Pranali’s transition. They provided valuable assistance with procuring the machinery, developing a strong brand identity for her products, and navigating the complexities of the market. She also gained valuable exposure by participating in the ‘Swayamsidha Exhibition,’ an event organized under the UDAYA Project.
With an initial investment of Rs. 3.50 lakh, she rented a shop and launched her edible oil business. Through her dedication and perseverance, Mrs. Pranali has achieved considerable success. Her business now generates a monthly income of between Rs. 20,000 and Rs. 25,000. Looking forward, she has ambitious plans for further expansion. She intends to invest in new, higher-capacity machinery to increase production and meet growing demand. Mrs. Pranali’s journey is an inspiring example of how vision, hard work, and the right support can lead to success, even in the face of limited formal education.
