Participants  of  1-week  Advanced  –  MDP  on  Supply  Chain  Management  conducted  by  EDII
                            Ahmedabad under ESDP scheme of Ministry of MSME, Govt. of India, at Dehradun, Uttarakhand
                            receiving the completion certificates.


                          Key Highlights:

                          • 27 states and 7 UTs (except Manipur &Ladakh) covering 479 districts across India were
                            covered through this geographically inclusive project committed to supporting existing
                            MSMEs and aspiring entrepreneurs.
                          • 50 percent of the participants were women and 40 percent SC/ST
                          • 2352 Faculty and experts who delivered the programme represented industry, practising
                            professionals, officials of government departments like MSME-DFO, DIC, NABARD, KVIC,
                            Coir Board etc, officers from scheduled commercial banks, faculty from training institutes
                            and other premier technical and academic institutions. entrepreneurs/ business leaders
                            and master trainers.
                          • EDII's institutional network and network of community leaders provided a strong channel
                            to  take  stock  of  the  activities  on  the  ground.  With  EDII's  8  regional  and  various
                            state/project offices in different states/UTs, the implementation and the outcomes were
                            regularly monitored.

                          The beneficiaries have become adept in advanced domain and entrepreneurship skills, local
                          ecosystem, their own strengths & weaknesses, business opportunities etc. With the support
                          of  EDII  scores  of  existing  and  potential  entrepreneurs  have  successfully  upscaled  their
                          businesses/set up new ventures. Several are in the process of setting up their enterprises.
                          EDII  coordinators  continue  to  extend  need-based  handholding  support  like;  business
                          counselling,  business  opportunity  identification,  connecting  with  DICs  and  other
                          departments/banks, enterprise creation/formalisation.


                          “EDII's skilling and entrepreneurship programme curriculum is guided by the objectives of
                          enhancing  new  venture  creation  and  MSME  productivity.  The  economic  and  social
                          outcomes that follow, are also striking. The implementation of programmes is carried out
                          through a streamlined institutional mechanism and EDII's nationwide reach. “

                          Dr. Rajeev Sharma, Associate Senior Faculty & Coordinator of the Department of Business
                          Development  Services  &  National  Outreach,  EDII  led  the  project.  He  opined,  “The
                          programme was a unique blend of inputs to build market- required skills and competencies
                          as well as develop knowledge, skills and attitude needed to set up own enterprises.
