EAPs in Leh, Kargil and Kupwara
                          In  the  last  two  months,  three  programmes  were  organized  at  National  Institute  of
                          Electronics  &  Information  Technology  (NIEIT),  Leh;  (NIEIT),  Kargil,  and  Govt.  Degree
                          College, Kupwara, on 28th June, 1st July and 25th July respectively.

                          Chief Guest of the 98th EAP at Leh, Shri Ghulam Mehdi, Hon'ble Executive Councillor,
                          Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council (LAHDC) addressed the participants. Also
                          present on the occasion were first Lady of Ladakh, Smt. Neelam Mishra; Shri Phuntsog
                          Toldhan, Director, NIELIT and Smt. Stanzin Donsal from UT Secretariat Leh Ladakh.



                                Shri  Ghulam  Mehdi,  said,  “Entrepreneurship  stands  as  a  beacon  of  hope  for
                                economic empowerment, especially for women in regions like Leh and Kargil. The
                                women  here  possess  immense  potential  and  resilience,  and  through  this
                                programme, they will learn to use their skills and thrive as entrepreneurs.”

                                First  lady  of  Ladakh,  Smt.  Neelam  Mishra  addressing  the  aspiring  women
                                entrepreneurs. Smt. Mishra said, “By empowering women with necessary skills
                                and  knowledge,  we  can  drive  economic  growth  and  improve  socio-economic
                                conditions of our region. I am optimistic that this programme will pave the way for
                                numerous successful women-led enterprises in Ladakh, contributing to the overall
                                development of our community.”

                                Shri Phuntsog Toldhan, opined, “This initiative is a golden opportunity for the
                                women of Ladakh to explore entrepreneurship as a career path. The training and
                                insights  provided  through  this  programme  will  be  invaluable  in  helping  them
                                harness their potential, innovate and become entrepreneurs.”
