Synergizing EDII Mandates With the

Development Efforts of National & State

                          Government Departments and Ministries.

Superior human resource or workforce can be ensured on the pillars of skilling and
training. And, this is what the country is mindfully concentrating on, to ensure its
ascendancy in various areas; such as poverty alleviation, employment generation,
improved literacy or even enhanced start up rate. When synergized with
entrepreneurship training, the skill building efforts can rightfully promote job creators
instead of job seekers, on a large scale.

Women, underprivileged and disadvantaged especially, form a major section of this
assemblage and can be turned self-reliant through skill training and counselling. Skill
development efforts can harness the talents and ideas of people, directing them towards
productive ventures. Emphasis on skill development also ensures that learning moves
beyond the four walls of the conventional classroom teaching. The mandate is to reduce
skill gaps by focussing on building technical, vocational and market-pertinent skills.

India is especially focussing on the significance of skills and creation of a market-relevant
workforce through reforms and planned interventions.

EDII associates with several noted government department and ministries as well as
corporates in reaching out to people in rural and semi-rural areas, to create economic
value, social value and environmental value. These associations have ensured unique
entrepreneurship development models for the urban and rural potential entrepreneurs,
artisans, weavers, minorities, differently abled and women.

According to Dr Amit Dwivedi, Director, Dept. of Projects
(Government), “The institute seeks to play a vital role in promoting
balanced growth in the economy on the premise of entrepreneurship
and skill training. The conscienceness of the government towards
ensuring inclusive development in society is commendable.”

Lets take a glimpse into some of the Government associations of EDII which have
delivered tangible impact in the last couple of months:
