Uttar Pradesh... Rising Entrepreneurially

Uttar Pradesh, with its rich and diverse culture and traditions, is rapidly taking shape as a
world-class startup ecosystem. The state is achieving new milestones in economic progress
across all sectors. Uttar Pradesh's growing opportunities and potential is attracting
significant attention. Through its Regional Centre in Lucknow, EDII is fostering a thriving
startup culture and building a robust and inclusive ecosystem for innovation and
entrepreneurship. By focusing on the necessary skills, knowledge and mindset, EDII seeks to
empower a diverse cross-section range of individuals from various backgrounds.

During the last two-month, 2 one-day Entrepreneurship Awareness Programmes (EAPs)
were conducted. Alongside these, 3 six-week Entrepreneurship Skill Development
Programmes were also conducted by EDII under the Entrepreneurship Skill Development
Programme (ESDP) scheme, supported by the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium
Enterprises (MSME), Govt.of India, to train and develop entrepreneurial competencies and
skills among theyouth.

180 individuals were trained under these programmes in Gorakhpur and Azamgarh. Under
the guidance of EDII mentors, most of the trained youths, identified small business
opportunities and are pacing towards establishing sustainable businesses under the
handholding support of EDII mentors.

With Uttar Pradesh emerging as a critical startup player, EDII is mounting multiple projects
and programmes, in association with Government and corporates, to erect an excellent
ecosystem housing adept institutions, skilled individuals, amiable policies and excellent
incubation.
