Building a Strong Entrepreneurial Culture

                          in Chhattisgarh




                          Chhattisgarh is one of the fastest-growing and among the richest states in India in terms of
                          natural and mineral resources. The State, located in the heart of central India, offers a
                          unique locational advantage with direct physical access to markets of seven states. This has
                          attracted  significant  attention  from  various  sectors.  EDII  is  committed  to  fostering
                          entrepreneurial  growth  in  this  resource-rich  state.  EDII-Chhattisgarh  Centre  for
                          Entrepreneurship Development in Raipur, an initiative of the Department of Industries &
                          Commerce, Chhattisgarh and EDII, focuses on nurturing entrepreneurship by developing
                          essential skills, knowledge, and mindset across a wide range of individuals, contributing to
                          building a strong entrepreneurial culture across Chhattisgarh. In December and January,
                          some  significant  activities  were  undertaken  to  promote  entrepreneurship.  A  two-day
                          Entrepreneurship  Awareness  Programme  (EAP),  organized  at  Government  Girls
                          Polytechnic, Raipur on December 17th and 18th, 2024 aimed at creating awareness about
                          the benefits of pursuing entrepreneurship as a career.






























                            The event was graced by Chief Guest, Shri Praveen Shukla, Additional Director, State
                            Investment Promotion Board, Department of Commerce & Industries, Chhattisgarh;
                            (2nd  from  R);  Special  Guest,  Shri  Sanjay  Gajghate,  Joint  Director,  Directorate  of
                            Industries, Department of Commerce & Industries, Chhattisgarh;  (2nd from L) Mrs.
                            Varsha Pandya Chaurasiya, Principal, Govt. Girls Polytechnic, Raipur; (3rd from L) Dr.
                            Sunil Shukla, Director General, EDII; ( R ) Dr. Amit Kumar Dwivedi, Professor & Director -
                            Department of Projects (Government) & Regional Director and ( L ) Sheeba Roberts,
                            Assistant Faculty, EDII.



                          A total of 175 participants attended the programme and acquired learning about the
                          various aspects of setting up and pursuing new enterprise creation as well as the assistance
                          that they could seek from the conducive ecosystem and schemes that are being widely
                          promoted.
