Department of Entrepreneurship Education

EDII pioneered entrepreneurship education in the country through short-term and long-term
courses. The Institute nurtures a cohort of innovative thinkers for creation of sustainable
enterprises and for contributing towards the growth of existing family businesses. The
Department's activities have strengthened the landscape of entrepreneurship education and will
continue to :

Augment creation of MSME and startup entrepreneurs, besides equipping
family business successors with entrepreneurial skills.

Research the pedagogy of entrepreneurship education, by designing and
offering outcome-based courses.

Strengthen the cadre of educators, mentors, SME experts and innovators, incubation
experts, researchers and entrepreneurs, through training and skill development.

Cultivate an entrepreneurial mindset among school students and youths.

Promote innovation-led and technology-focused startup initiatives.

4th August, 2023: EDII President's Alumnus Award at 22nd Convocation 2023 Social Entrepreneur presented to Mr. Tapan Kumar
Ghosh, Managing Director of Kutch Agrotech Pvt Ltd, Bhuj and Managing Partner of Ecocell (into trading of Date Palm Plants &
Products) at the hands of Chief Guest, Shri R.N. Ravi, Hon’ble Governor of Tamil Nadu and Shri Rakesh Sharma, President-EDII and
MD & CEO - IDBI Bank Ltd.
