Department of Policy Advocacy, Knowledge and Research

Building on its strong track record of conducting applied research and engaging with
policymakers and other stakeholders, EDII will further strengthen this initiative by aligning it with
national priorities and making the department a strong Knowledge Repository of the Institute. The
Department will primarily :

Promote development and academic research in accordance with the national
priorities and ensure dissemination of the findings.

Provide policy advocacy to support state and central government through
action-oriented research.

Engage with the Government and Corporate sector through research on
the efficacy of development & livelihood models and Corporate Social
Responsibility (CSR) interventions.

Position the department as a resource hub of information and for creation
of handbooks, manuals, videos, reports, periodicals, and other informational
materials.

9th January, 2024: The Global Entrepreneurship Monitor (GEM), India Report 2022-23 was released during the International
Conference on ‘Infusing Technology in the MSME Sector’, by H.E. Mr. Chang Jae-Bok, Hon’ble Ambassador, Republic of South
Korea, in the presence of Dr. Piruz Khambatta, Chairman, Rasna & Chairman, CII Task Force, Ahmedabad; Dr. Sunil Shukla,
Director General, EDII and Author - GEM India 2022-23 Report & EDII Senior Faculty and Authors - GEM India 2022-23 Report,
Dr. Amit Dwivedi and Dr. Pankaj Bharti.
