can be done through stories, discussions, libraries
and active engagement with newspapers.”
The National Skill Expo and Guidance Festival 2025-2027, organized at EDII, by CBSE, on
January 28th, 2025, marked a significant milestone in orienting students towards holistic
development models balancing life skills, work talents and responsibilities as a citizen.
Shri Rahul Singh, IAS, Chairman, Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) was the
Chief Guest of this event which witnessed culmination of 15 regional events, where 108
students from 54 schools showcased their projects on disciplines as varied as Information
Technology, Beauty & Wellness, Artificial Intelligence, Design Thinking & Innovation,
Agriculture and Food Production etc.
EDII has actively been working in the thrust area of school entrepreneurship in close
cooperation with the Government and regulatory bodies. Its programmes are targeted at
students as well as teachers & resource persons. The Institute houses a Centre for School
Entrepreneurship and during the event, a document on the Centre was released. The
document delineates the vision & strategy of the Centre and also throws light on the
initiatives of the Institute under this banner. It also gives a glimpse into the ‘way forward’.
In his Session on ‘Entrepreneurship for Modern India’, Dr. Sunil Shukla stated,
“Entrepreneurship is a life skill; it's a state of mind, and when we work with children, we try
to drive in this belief. We want children to develop unique traits and competencies
associated with entrepreneurship. School Entrepreneurship is important as a discipline to
make sure that children become problem solvers, develop an entrepreneurial mindset
with unique 'winning' virtues. EDII has been highly proactive in propelling school
entrepreneurship through training & capacity building of students as well as teachers,
developing curriculum & textbooks, supporting patent filing and incubating ideas.”
