Developing a Global Network of Aspiring
Women Entrepreneurs
EDII has been offering a helping hand to many a developing nation and seeking to perch
them on the path of entrepreneurial excellence. Under the aegis of Indian Technical and
Economic Cooperation Programme (ITEC) Division of the Ministry of External Affairs,
Government of India, EDII conducted an International programme exclusively for Women
Professionals titled, 'Empowering Women Through Entrepreneurship Development'. The
programme began on August 1st and concluded on August 14th 2024. 57 women
professionals from 31 developing countries participated in the programme, conducted on
EDII campus.
Focus was retained on enhancing their entrepreneurial capabilities. The objectives were
to disseminate knowledge on tools and techniques that may facilitate the growth of
women-owned businesses. The participants leant about business opportunities and
preparation of viable business plans, managerial qualities, soft skills and various avenues
that could be tapped on their entrepreneurial journey.
