 Athak Bharat Project...Sponsored by ONGC


 EDII has been implementing Athak Bharat project for promoting self-sustainable
 organizations  among  the  tribal  community  of  Dang  District  in  Gujarat  over  the
 project period of  3 years. The project entails formation of  SHGs and  institution
 building, capacity building, formation of producers' organization and transforming
 producer organizations into self-sustaining organizations.

 A stall was set up in Haat Bazar at Jamlapada village by the Yasasvi Unit Garhvi village
 (Agripreneurship) trade. Products such as; nagli, varai and pickles, papad, biscuits,
 chakri, etc. were put on sale.  The response was good with profits over Rs. 1500 in just
 one day.

                              • So  far,  52  Entrepreneurship  awareness  camps  have  been  conducted  to
                                sensitize rural women/youth in Chikkaballapur, Kolar and Bangalore Rural
                                Districts,  in  which  1610  women/youth  participated  and  1100  potential
                                entrepreneurs have been selected for 26 training programmes across 3
                                districts.
                              • 5 selections camps have been organized in 3 districts for final selection.












 At Sabari Dham Subir village in Dang district, a stall was set up by the Om Sai
 Unit and Amulya unit (Agripreneurship & Handicraft), in which various food
 products  and bamboo craft products were put on sale.  Customers thronged
 the stall in huge number. Earnings of more than Rs. 6000 were recorded in a day.





 Micro Skillpreneurship Development Programme (MSDP)... Under the aegis of HAL
                 Participants with TRIBAM products crafted under National Mission on Himalayan Studies
                 (NMHS) project from Tripura participated in the Home decor Gift and Houseware (HGH),
 EDII's collaboration with HAL is committed to organizing   Micro Skillpreneurship   Fair at India Expo Mart, Noida, organised by Export Promotion Council for Handicrafts
 Development Programme (MSDP) for 1000 youth and women in Karnataka. The   (EPCH) from 13 - 16 December. The event was inaugurated by  Mr. Sohan Jha, Sr. Director,
 objective is to foster innovation-driven entrepreneurship, especially among youths.  Office of the Development Commissioner (Handicrafts), Ministry of Textiles, Govt. of India
