Performance (RAMP)
• Financial Literacy Significant for MSME Growth
Financial literacy provides necessary guidance to entrepreneurs, enabling them to
make informed decisions, manage resources and build sustainable businesses. To
spread financial awareness, a Programme on Financial Literacy for MSMEs was
conducted on October 29, 2025, at District Industries Centre Campus,
Thattanchavady, Puducherry. The programme was jointly conducted by EDII and
Pondicherry Industrial Promotion Development and Investment Corporation
(PIPDIC) under the Raising and Accelerating MSME Performance (RAMP) scheme.
The programme focused on empowering MSMEs, especially artisans with the
essential knowledge and skills to improve financial management, enhance
competitiveness and promote sustainable business growth. Also, the initiative
aimed to create awareness about MSME schemes, credit linkages and institutional
support mechanisms available under RAMP.

Director of Industrial Development, Trade & Commerce, Government of Puducherry
and Managing Director, PIPDIC Ltd.
Guest Shri A. Vikranth Raja, IAS, Secretary to Government / Director of Industrial
Development, Trade & Commerce, Government of Puducherry and Managing
Director, PIPDIC Ltd. emphasized the importance of financial literacy for MSMEs in
achieving sustainable business growth and motivated artisans to work collectively
for industrial advancement in the region. Also present at the event were Mr. K.
Govindarajan, General Manager, District Industries Centre, Puducherry and senior
government officials.
