…Capacity Building Workshop on Innovation,

Design and Entrepreneurship (IDE)

Towards building a conducive education ecosystem, EDII organized the Phase-2
Capacity Building Workshop on Innovation, Design and Entrepreneurship (IDE) on
November 6 and 7, 2025 for District Education Officers, District Institute of Education
and Training (DIET) Members and State Council of Educational Research and Training
(SCERT) Officials. The workshop was supported by Department of School Education
and Literacy, All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) & Ministry of Education
Innovation Cell (MIC).
The objective of this workshop was to enhance the skills of district-level officials in the
areas of innovation, creativity, design thinking and entrepreneurship, in alignment
with the vision of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. This workshop was
organized in collaboration with the Wadhwani Foundation.

Prof. Sitharam T.G., Chairman, AICTE; Shri Dheeraj Sahu, Additional Secretary,
Department of School Education and Literacy and Dr. Abhay Jere, Vice Chairman,
AICTE, inaugurated the Workshop across 25 States and 2 UTs on 30th October 2025.

The State-level inauguration at EDII, Ahmedabad was graced by Chief Guest, Dr.
Devdatt Pandya, Reader, Gujarat Council of Educational Research and Training
(GCERT); Guest of Honours: Ms. Vaishali M. Chawda, State Nodal Officer for SIC &
Faculty, Curriculum & Evaluation Branch, GCERT & Shri Vidhikar Vishal, Nodal
Coordinator, AICTE and Dr. Satya Ranjan Acharya, Director, Department of
Entrepreneurship Education, EDII.

More than 65 officials from Gujarat have been trained during the workshop. This
training will enable the officials to effectively integrate innovation and entrepreneurial
principles into the education system.

Participants engage in activities during the Capacity Building Workshop on Innovation, Design and
Entrepreneurship.
