World MSME Day Fostering Entrepreneurship, Globally

Inclusive and sustainable growth on the premise of entrepreneurship is a global need.
EDII is actively contributing to this initiative by offering training and building capacities.
Under the support of Indian Technical and Economic Cooperation, Ministry of External
Affairs, Government of India, the Institute has been equipping professionals from
developing nations with the necessary skills, knowledge and entrepreneurial mindset to
develop strengths in diverse domains. Over the past two months, some of the significant
programmes that took place include:
• Entrepreneurship Education, Knowledge Management and Policy Research
This programme began on July 3rd and concluded on July 16th, 2025. 39
government/private sector officials, school principals and teachers,
deans/professors/lecturers from universities, heads of business incubators, women
entrepreneurs, small business consultants and media representatives from 25
countries, participated.
The programme equipped the participants with the skills and knowledge required to
design and implement need-based entrepreneurship education policies and strategies
to their respective countries, so that early-stage entrepreneurs, family business

Training (BMT) initiative, organized by the EDII-Goa Centre, were selected to receive entrepreneurship and develop business incubators in their institutions to support
certificates from the Dr. Pramod Sawant, Hon'ble Chief Minister of Goa; Shri Mauvin students in developing viable business plans and start-ups. The programme also
Godinho, Hon'ble Minister for Industries and other Senior Govt. officials. emphasized the importance of conducting relevant research and evaluations in the
field of entrepreneurship development.
Dr. Pankaj Bharti, Course Director, said, “Transforming mindsets, crafting policies and
learning premises to nurture innovation and resilience can greatly impact
entrepreneurship. I am glad that now we have a global cadre of faculty, researchers and
trainers in entrepreneurship, to work in the area.”
Dr. Abdul Razak, Associate Faculty, EDII and In-Charge, EDII Goa Centre attended the 5th
National Conference of Chief Secretaries on 'Human Capital for Viksit Bharat', as an
esteemed panelist. The conference was organized on 23rd July 2025 by the Directorate of
Skill Development & Entrepreneurship, Government of Goa. Dr. Sunil Shukla, Director General, EDII and Dr. Pankaj Bharti, Course Director with the participants of
Entrepreneurship Education, Knowledge Management and Policy Research.
