Deliberations...
On January 16, 2025, the institute signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Survey of India,
Department of Science and Technology, Government of India. The objective of the MoU is to
create a climate of science and technology-based entrepreneurship in the country through
strategic and integrated joint efforts by both institutions. Also, under this collaboration, research
activities, developmental programmes and capacity-building initiatives, will be widely
undertaken to strengthen skills and entrepreneurship quotient among students to ensure
creation of science and technology-based ventures in potential areas like the geospatial
technology. Through tailor-made programmes, the skills of the officials of Survey of India, will
also be developed. This effort will propel the process of science and technology-based enterprise
creation in new and upcoming technical domains. The MoU was signed between Shri Hitesh
Kumar S. Makwana, IAS, Surveyor General of India, Survey of India, Department of Science and
Technology, Government of India and Dr. Sunil Shukla, Director General, EDII.
