Promoting Science & Technology based
Entrepreneurship
The Institute has been implementing several entrepreneurship-related activities, in
association with Department of Science & Technology (DST), Govt. of India, for over last
three decades. These have not just created awareness but have also brought several tech-
led enterprises to the fore. At educational institutes, students have begun to nurture
innovative, creative ideas. In 2024-25, the Institute aims to leverage new opportunities,
with the support of DST, to train 250 youths with science and technology background. The
idea is to orient them to think towards technology and thus foster technology-based
enterprises. Additionally, the Institute has also planned to train 25 faculty members and
resource persons affiliated with science and technology institutions.
In last two months, a Technology-Based Entrepreneurship Development Programme

various aspects of computer technology. The programme also aimed to induce the spirit of
entrepreneurship by equipping participants with skill sets like critical thinking, problem-
