discuss the ways and means
to propagate
entrepreneurship
in the state.

On 6th December, 2023, EDII collaborated with IDBI Bank Ltd. to initiate the project 'Revitalising Innovation for
Sustainable Enterprises (RISE)'. The project would help in improving the economic conditions and quality of
life among rural and peri-urban communities in the selected regions of Odisha, Uttarakhand and Assam
States. Over a period of 3 years, more than 4300 women and youth will be trained to embrace enhanced
livelihood opportunities in diverse technology-based entrepreneurship activities.

The MoU was signed in the presence of Senior IDBI officials - (R) Shri Rakesh Sharma, EDII President &
Managing Director and CEO, IDBI Bank Ltd; (2nd from L) Shri Saumya Chaudhuri, Chief General Manager, IDBI
Bank Ltd and (L) Ms. Jayati Chakraborty, General Manager, IDBI Bank Ltd. Seen above is Dr. Sunil Shukla,
Director General, EDII exchanging greetings with Shri Saumya Chaudhuri, post signing of the MoU. Also
present on the occasion was (3rd from R) Dr. Raman Gujral, Director, Dept. of Projects (Corporates), EDII.

The 'Startup Samvad 2.0 : Startup - Investor Expo', was organized at Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical
University (AKTU), Lucknow on 15th October 2023. Hon'ble Governor of Uttar Pradesh, Smt. Anandiben
Patel chaired the session which was attended by around 500 delegates. In an important development, AKTU
announced ten 'Kalam Startup Parikrama' programme, to be conducted by EDII. Kalam Startup Parikrama is Ms. Nidhi Sharma, Consultant, National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) and Shri Arpit Asthana,
a state-wide effort to foster entrepreneurship and assist Startups. Manager - Strategy, NSDC along with other team members from NSDC visited EDII to gain insights into the
MSME ecosystem and understand the strategies employed in empowering women entrepreneurship.
