ITEC Supported Programmes Nurture
Entrepreneurship Globally
EDII is committed to fostering global partnerships and building professional
capacities across developing countries, through its specialized training and capacity
building programmes. Under the support of Indian Technical and Economic
Cooperation, Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India, EDII is promoting
sustainable growth and inclusive progress. The following programmes were
conducted during the last two months.
Entrepreneurship in the Digital Age for Micro-Enterprise Advancement
The programme commenced on October 29 and concluded on November 11, 2025, with
37 participants from 27 developing countries. The course was divided into four modules,
each focusing on important aspects of digital transformation and sustainable growth of
Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) by leveraging Industry 4.0 and Digital 4.0
technologies.Sharing his views on the programme, Dr. Satya Ranjan Acharya, Course
Director, said, “The course aimed at providing comprehensive insights into digital
products, innovations and knowledge for business growth. It offered skills and knowledge
needed to revive and grow micro-enterprise in a competitive and dynamic environment.”
Shri R.D. Barhat, Joint Commissioner of Industries, MSME Commissionerate,
Government of Gujarat was the Chief Guest at the Valediction of the programme.
Addressing the programme participants, Shri Barhat stated, “The Digital Age is not
just an evolution; it is a robust platform that has the potential to promote micro-
enterprises. By leveraging the skills and knowledge gained through this
programme, the participants will foster an ecosystem where every micro-
entrepreneur will use technology to expand their market reach, increase their
efficiency and scale their business.”
