In  addition,  17  Entrepreneurship  Awareness  Programmes  (EAPs)  engaged  550
                                participants across various locations. The EAPs sparked entrepreneurial thinking
                                among  young  minds  and  encouraged  them  to  explore  self-employment
                                opportunities in the region.
                                Against the growing role of technology in business, a Tech-Based Entrepreneurship
                                Training programme was conducted, benefiting over 80 students. The programme
                                focused on building awareness about technology-driven entrepreneurship, with
                                special  emphasis  on  emerging  opportunities  in  solar  energy  and  green  energy
                                encouraging youth to explore self-employment in these sectors.
                                                    “Ladakh  is  gradually  coming  around  on  the  front  of
                                                    entrepreneurship, with meaningful trainings, handholding
                                                    and  mentoring  support.  The  unique  synergy  between
                                                    resources and people is churning out worthwhile results,”
                                                    informed Dr. Amit Kumar Dwivedi, Project Director.
 August 6, 2025: Dr. Sunil Shukla, Director General, EDII and Dr. Amit Kumar Dwivedi,
 Professor & Director - Department of Government Projects, visited the University
 of Ladakh, Kargil campus to interact with 30 faculty and staff members on the need
 to  orchestrate  result-oriented  entrepreneurial  activities  to  bring  about  self-
 reliance and prosperity in the region.
 A New Enterprise Creation Programme was held at Industrial Training Institute (ITI)
 Leh from 8-13 September 2025, with participation of over 70 students. They were
 taught about business opportunity identification, business model development and
 thinking creatively. They also acquired awareness about the huge resource base of
 Ladakh which could be converted into sustainable enterprises.
 Another significant programme, Ideathon 2025, was conducted on 18th September
 2025,  at  the  University  of  Ladakh.  The  programme  brought  together  young
 innovators from Leh, Kargil, Nubra, Zanskar and Drass. 87 business ideas, prototypes
 and products were received for the Ideathon, out of which 20 were shortlisted for
 presentations. Eight participants showcased their working prototypes before a jury.
 The  presentation  was  chaired  by  Prof.  Rama  Jayasundar,  Head,  Department  of
 Nuclear Medicine, AIIMS, New Delhi, who praised participants for their fresh ideas
