From Ideas to Enterprises August 7, 2025: A delegation led by
...Enterprising Ladakh

In addition to tourism that Ladakh is much acclaimed for, the region also offers huge
opportunities for enterprise creation as it houses unique resources. The challenge only lies
in shifting mindsets, helping young minds recognize that they could harness the resources
to build their own enterprises. This is where project Enterprising Ladakh plays a key role.
Enterprising Ladakh is an initiative of the Department of Higher Education, Union Territory
of Ladakh, implemented by EDII. Over the last two months significant activities were
undertaken.

August 7, 2025: Post fruitful interactions, EDII Ladakh team led by Dr. Sunil Shukla, Director General,
felicitated to Hon'ble Lieutenant Governor, UT of Ladakh, Shri Kavinder Gupta. Also, present was
(2nd from L) Ms. Bhanu Prabha, IAS, Administrative Secretary (Higher Education/School
Education/Technical Education & Skill Development/Youth Services & Sports), UT of Ladakh.

August 7, 2025: Dr. Pawan
EDII established a dedicated office at the University of Ladakh and Kargil Leh Campus. This Kotwal, IAS, Chief Secretary,
was inaugurated on August 8, 2025 by Dr. Sunil Shukla, Director General, EDII, along with UT of Ladakh discussed the
Prof. Saket Kushwaha, Vice Chancellor, University of Ladakh. This Centre will serve as progress of the project with
regional hub for entrepreneurial education, training and outreach. Dr. Sunil Shukla.
