Goa Flaunts its Entrepreneurial Prowess





                           Goa, with its umpteen resources, innovations and technical advancements, is emerging
                           as a hub of entrepreneurial opportunities. To nurture entrepreneurial mindsets and
                           motivate people towards enterprise creation, EDII with the support of EDC Limited, has
                           established  the  EDII-Goa  Centre.  The  Centre  is  strengthening  the  entrepreneurial
                           ecosystem  of  the  state  by  promoting  entrepreneurship,  innovation,  startups,
                           employment opportunities and MSMEs.

                           On September 1, 2025, representatives of the EDII Goa Centre interacted with Shri
                           Rohan Khaunte, Hon’ble Minister for Tourism, Information Technology, Electronics &
                           Communications and Printing & Stationery, Government of Goa, to discuss programmes
                           under various Govt. departments EDC, Directorate of Industries, Trade and Commerce
                           (DITC),  Raising  and  Accelerating  MSME  Performance  (RAMP),  District  Rural
                           Development  Agency  (DRDA)  and  other  Government  departments.  The  Hon’ble                                       Mr.  Sandip  Darkar,  General  Manager,  NABARD  Goa  Regional  Office,  in  the
                           Minister  extended  his  support  for  these  initiatives.  Thus  far,  since  2024,  20                              presence of Ms. Neelam Agrawal, Director, Department of Financial Services,
                           Entrepreneurship  Development  Programmes,  86  Entrepreneurship  Awareness
                                                                                                                                                 Ministry  of  Finance,  Government  of  India,  share  the  agreement  to  under

                          The  EDII  –  Goa  Centre,  under  the  CSR  initiative  of  the  EDC  Limited,  conducted  22
                          Entrepreneurship Awareness Programmes (EAPs) across the state during August and
                          September, 2025. These programmes created awareness about entrepreneurship, with
                          focus on specific domains such as; business concepts, market opportunities & dynamics,
                          entrepreneurship principles, business planning and entrepreneurial challenges. More
                          than 1062 students participated.
