Enterprising Ladakh




 Enterprising  Ladakh  is  a  flagship  initiative  of  the  Department  of  Higher  Education,
 Administration of Union Territory of Ladakh, being implemented by EDII. The programme
 emanates from the mandate of fostering an entrepreneurial ecosystem in the region,
 given the immense untapped potential and energy, which if tapped can result in multiple
 benefits.  Through a series of structured interventions, including awareness programmes,
 ideation workshops, skill development sessions and mentorship & handholding support
 for aspiring entrepreneurs, this programme seeks to build successful entrepreneurial
 tracks.
 Since June 19th 2025, 4 Youth - Entrepreneurship Awareness Programmes (Y-EAPs) have
 been successfully conducted at various colleges and institutions under the Project. These
 programmes were designed to sensitize youth, across all the 7 districts, including Leh,   45 women from Self Help Groups located in areas such as Leh, Chushot and Phyang
                                 attended a 3 day Entrepreneurship Awareness Programme held from June 10 - 12,
 Kargil, Sham, Nubra, Zanskar, Changthang and Drass, about entrepreneurship and the
                                 2025 at the Anjuman Imamia Women’s Wing Office, Leh.
 various start-up opportunities available to them.
 Each 3-day programme exposed the youths to the multiple benefits of entrepreneurship
 as a career. Their apprehensions and myths were put to rest with proper counselling and
 information-sharing on policies and schemes for wanne-be entrepreneurs. In all, 259
 youths were sensitized.
                               Project District Mineral Foundation (DMF) Udyami
 Today, the aware youths are contemplating stepping on to the next level and pursuing   (Odisha)
 entrepreneurial endeavors.
                               Project DMF Udyami, supported by District Mineral Foundation, Keonjhar, is dedicated to
                               building a vibrant entrepreneurial ecosystem in Keonjhar District, Odisha. The initiative
                               focuses on skill development and economic growth for aspiring and next-generation
                               entrepreneurs.  It  aims  to  directly  empower  over  10,000  youth  including  3200  new
                               generation  entrepreneurs  and  create  more  than  7000  indirect  employment
                               opportunities in seven mining affected blocks & municipality wards. To support this
                               vision, a state-of-the-art District Incubation Centre integrated with DMF Sankalp, along
                               with seven Block Level Micro Enterprise Resource Centre, will be established to foster
                               enterprise development.







                              Scheme of Fund for Regeneration of Traditional

                              Industries (SFURTI)


                             The Scheme of Fund for Regeneration of Traditional Industries (SFURTI), supported by the
                             Ministry of MSME, Govt. of India, is empowering artisans and producers. EDII-ERO serves as
 Entrepreneurship  Awareness  Programme  module  was  launched  by  (3rd  from  L)  Smt.  Bhanu  Prabha,   Technical Agency (TA) for SFURTI Project in Odisha. Over 2300 artisans and producers have
