Goa Emerging as a Hub for Entrepreneurship and

                          Innovation


                         Goa is rapidly emerging as a hub of entrepreneurship and innovation, moving beyond its
                         traditional  identity  of  a  'Tourist  Destination'.  This  shift  is  driven  by  a  growing  focus  on
                         promoting new businesses, innovations and ideas. EDII with the support of EDC Limited, has
                         established the EDII-Goa Centre to nurture a distinct entrepreneurial spirit in the region by
                         promoting innovations, startups and by strengthening the MSME sector.

                         During  the  last  two  months,  three  Business  Management  Training  Programmes  were
                         organized under the 'Raising and Accelerating MSME Performance' (RAMP) initiative. These
                         programmes were held at Nalanda Hall, EDC House, Panaji, Goa.

                         The first training programme, held on April 10, 2025, focused on 'Leadership, Team Building &
                         Communication Skills'. The programme was supported by World Bank, designed to enhance
                         leadership and communication capabilities among entrepreneurs and small business owners.
                         27 entrepreneurs and small business owners benefited from the training programme.

                         The second training programme on 'Digital Marketing, Brand Management & Promotion' was
                         held  on  April  26,  2025.  50  participants  gained  insights  into  leveraging  digital  tools  and
                         strategies  to  enhance  brand  visibility  and  maximise  reach  in  an  increasingly  competitive
                         market. The third training programme on 'Labour Law & Contract Labour' was conducted on
                         May 11, 2025. This training programme aimed to equip MSMEs and entrepreneurs with
                         essential knowledge of labour regulations, compliance requirements and best practices in
                         managing contract labour. The programme's primary objective was to foster legal awareness
                         and  encourage  responsible  labour  practices  among  small  and  medium  enterprises.  50
                         participants  attended  the  training  programme.  These  two  training  programme  were
                         supported Directorate of Industries, Trade & Commerce and the World Bank.

                         The fourth training programme on ‘Project Management’ was conducted on May 30, 2025.
                         The training programme aimed to equip MSMEs and entrepreneurs with essential project
                         management knowledge and tools to enhance their managerial skills and drive sustainable
                         success. 46 participants attended the training programme.

                         Goa, a premier tourist destination is fast bracing up to a wholesome entrepreneurial and
                         MSME world.
