Catalyzing Entrepreneurship in Uttarakhand

                          ...The Devbhoomi Udyamita Yojana


                          Uttarakhand has been rapidly transforming itself into a strong and self-reliant economy, led
                          by innovation, sustainability and inclusive growth. The 'Devbhoomi Udyamita Yojana (DUY)'
                          launched in September 2023, is an initiative of the Department of Higher Education, Govt.
                          of Uttarakhand which is being implemented by EDII with the aim to nurture entrepreneurial
                          mindset and build a robust ecosystem for aspiring and existing entrepreneurs, across the
                          state. As part of this, EDII has been actively conducting activities under DUY to empower the
                          people and unlock their entrepreneurial potential.
                          Over  the  last  two  months,  The  DUY  team  successfully  conducted  27  twelve-day
                          Entrepreneurship Development Programmes (EDPs) at various government colleges in the
                          state. More than 1215 beneficiaries, in the age group of 18 to 45 years, were selected
                          through  an  entrepreneurship  mapping  test.  These  EDPs  focused  on  capacity  building
                          through  structured  training  on  business  model  development,  financial  literacy  and

                          Additionally, the DUY team undertook several key support activities to strengthen the
                          entrepreneurial  ecosystem  among  students  and  aspiring  youth  including  MSME
                          registration assistance, branding and labelling support, handholding and mentorship, bank
                          linkages, marketing assistance and product development guidance.
