Empowering Global Talent

                          ...Supported by Indian Technical and Economic Cooperation,

                          Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India



                          In today's interconnected world, global partnerships and knowledge sharing are vital for
                          inclusive development. EDII undertakes capacity-building programmes in diverse areas that
                          foster entrepreneurship and global collaborations. Under the support of Indian Technical
                          and Economic Cooperation, Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India, EDII has been
                          handholding  professionals  from  developing  nations  in  strengthening  their  skills  and
                          capabilities.  In  the  past  two  months,  several  key  programmes  have  been  conducted,
                          including the following:



                           •  Industrial, Infrastructure & Sustainable Project Preparation and Appraisal

                           partner countries attended the programme. The Course module covered essential areas
                           such as Project Development Cycle; Framework to Identify Industrial; Infrastructure &
                           Sustainable Opportunities; Market Analysis; Technical Analysis & Financial Analysis;
 May 26-29, 2025: Annual Plan 2025–26 Review & Brainstorming Session.  Environmental  Analysis;  Risk  Analysis;  Infrastructure  Development  &  Financing;
                           National Cost-Benefit Analysis and other critical areas.

                           The programme ably updated knowledge of officials in the areas of project preparation
                           & appraisal techniques, as well as the decision-making process in sectors of industrial,
                           infrastructure & sustainable opportunities. Course Director, Dr. Amit Kumar Dwivedi,
                           Professor,  EDII,  expected  the  participants  to  reach  enhanced  viability,  returns  and
                           effective investment decisions.”




                            •  Informal Sector, Enterprise and Local Economic Development
                            The  programme  commenced  on  May  15  and  concluded  on  May  28,  2025.  37
                            participants representatives business/industry Associations; funding agencies focusing
                            on Informal Sector/Entrepreneurship and Civil Society Organizations/NGOs attended
                            the  programme.  The  participants  were  mainly  involved  in  managing  development
                            projects and in Local Economic Development. 15 countries were represented.

                            The  programme  was  delivered  using  a  blend  of  tools  and  techniques  aimed  at
                            enhancing participants’ knowledge and implementation readiness. Through classroom
                            lectures, case studies, and action plan preparation, it was ensured that they receive a
                            practical  learning  experience.  Through  six  comprehensive  modules,  the  course
                            provided  participants  with  first-hand  exposure  to  implementing  Local  Economic
                            Development structure— the one that they could readily adopt and apply in their
                            respective  countries.  Dr.  Rajesh  Gupta,  Associate  Professor,  EDII  was  the  Course
                            Director.
