agencies engaged in agro-product storage / post-harvest and officials from agri-commodities role of Business Incubators in Emerging Economies, and ways to sustain and grow a business
incubator. The participants also looked at best practices, and delved into the areas that are the
market and agri supply chain firms; resource people working in agro / food processing / fishery /
hallmarks of a successful incubator. Based on the conditions prevalent in their respective
animal husbandry / agri services; employees from financial institutions catering to funding
requirements of agriculture and agro product-based industries, attended the six – week countries, the participants drafted a strategy paper on success of incubators. The document listed
programme. the need for adaptability to local requirements, the role of an incubator manager and the guiding
framework within which an incubator can function effectively.
Participants from 12 countries got insight into cultivating an 'entrepreneurial attitude' to
smoothen the process and develop innovative solutions. The participants also learnt about “An entrepreneurially inclined society will have proactive incubators and accelerators. Like
emerging opportunities in agri-businesses, developing a comprehensive business plan / project in every other field, this area too requires hands-on professionals who can understand the
technicalities and contribute effectively. For this well planned and highly relevant
