EDII sets up its Centre in Goa to implement the
Goa Udyamita Yojana
The recent times have been most rewarding for the country on the fronts of
entrepreneurship and start ups. India's entrepreneurial landscape is abuzz with
dynamism, especially by its youths. The innovative start ups ideas and concepts are a
testament to the increasing interest of Indian youth in entrepreneurship. Goa is among
one of the foremost states to encourage entrepreneurship on its land. The Goa Udyamita
Yojana was launched on March 12th 2024 at the hands of Hon'ble Chief Minister of Goa,
Dr. Pramod Sawant. The Yojana envisions to strengthen the entrepreneurial ecosystem of
Goa by harnessing the potential of human capital and indigenous resources, thus
ensuring a high incidence of New Enterprise Creation and MSME growth.
The implementation partner of the project is EDII, while the nodal agencies are Goa CSR
Authority and EDC Limited, Goa are the nodal agencies. EDII has set up its Centre in Goa
to implement the project. The Centre was also inaugurated on 12th March by Hon'ble
Chief Minsiter, Dr. Pramod Sawant. In this Govt. to Govt. initiative, Shri Pramod Sawant
approached the Chief Minister of Gujarat, Shri Bhupendra Patel to facilitate, responding
to which EDII was beckoned to take up the task.
Also present at the inauguration at the EDC House in Goa on 12th March 2024, were Dr.
Sunil Shukla, Director General, Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India,
Ahmedabad; Dr. Milind Kamble, Chairman, Dalit Indian, Chamber of Commerce &
Industry (DICCI) & Board Member, EDII; Shri Sanjay Satardekar, Vice Chairman, EDC
Limited; Shri B. S. Pai Angle, Managing Director, EDC Limited, and Dr. Amit Dwivedi,
Incharge - Department of Government Projects, EDII.

EDII Sets Up its Centre in Goa to Strengthen
Entrepreneurship in the State

entrepreneurship. Goa is among one of the foremost states to encourage entrepreneurship on its
land. EDII has set up a Center in Goa to strengthen the State’s entrepreneurial ecosystem. The Center
was launched on March 12th 2024 at the hands of Hon'ble Chief Minister of Goa, Dr. Pramod Sawant.
The goal is to strengthen the entrepreneurial environ of Goa by harnessing the potential of human
capital and indigenous resources, thus ensuring a high incidence of New Enterprise Creation and
MSME growth.
