                         Beneficiaries at a tie and dye training workshop at
                         Jigani,  Bangalore.  The  participants  practically

                         witnessed the finer technicalities of the process of tie
                         and  dye,  including  the  material  and  tools  used,
                         techniques  employed,  latest  designs  and  safety

                         workshop had triggered their creativity, in addition to                                                                                                           Livelihood, Govt. of Karnataka, at

                        Every year from 1st January to 15th February, All India Industrial Exhibition is organized at
                        Hyderabad  at  Nampally  Exhibition  ground.  This  is  the  largest  Industrial  Exhibition  with
                        around 1700 stalls with a footfall of  approx. 25 lakh people. Two project beneficiaries;
                        Mrs. B. Sangeetha and Mrs. K. Laxmi, got an opportunity to exhibit Jute and Cotton bags in
                        the exhibition



                       On  the  occasion  of  International  Women's  Day  on  8th  March,  EDII  and  HCL  Foundation
                       celebrated with women entrepreneurs. At Jigani, 15 women entrepreneurs and 15 volunteers
                       from HCL Technologies participated in the event which was organized by EDII with the support
                       of HCL Foundation. Ms. Sreelakshmi Menon HCL SPOC from HCL Foundation inaugurated the
                       event.  An  Exhibition  was  also  conducted  at  HCL  Technologies,  Jigani,  where  4  WSDP
                       entrepreneurs exhibited their products and notched appreciable sales.
                                                                                                                                      Smt. Uma Chandrika, Assistant Director (Chemical), MSME Development Institute, Govt. of
                                                                                                                                      India,  organized  an  award  ceremony  cum  Entrepreneurship  Workshop  on  the  occasion
                                                                                                                                      of  International  Women's  Day  at  Madurai.  40  successful  women  entrepreneurs  were
                                                                                                                                      selected  for  the  MSME  awards  across  9  districts  of  South  Tamil  Nadu.  While  5  WSDP
                                                                                                                                      entrepreneurs  received  'Women  Achiever  Award,  one  entrepreneur  received  'Innovative
                                                                                                                                      Entrepreneur Award', and Project Skill Trainer, Mrs. Thenmozhi received 'Best Trainer cum
                                                                                                                                      Achievement  Award'.  Mrs  Kavitha  Balaraman,  Sr.  Project  Coordinator,  HCL  Sattva  Project
                                                                                                                                      Madurai was honored as 'Inspirational Super Women Award' at the event.
