 Also, under the Micro Skillpreneurship Development Programme (MSDP), supported by   • Women Entrepreneurship Platform (WEP) - Gujarat Chapter
 Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL), 32 MSDPs were successfully completed in the last
 year,  in  the  areas  of  Fashion  Technology,  Jute  Bag  Manufacturing,  Mobile  repair  &   EDII is also working with State and Central Government departments to empower
                 women  through  entrepreneurship  training  and  skill  building.  Under  Women
 Maintenance, Beauty parlour and Food Processing, benefiting a total of 1280 beneficiaries,
 comprising 1200 women.  Promotion of 300 new enterprises, out of which 280 are women-  Entrepreneurship Platform (WEP) - Gujarat Chapter, sponsored by Industries &
 led is a major highlight of the last year.  Mines Department, Government of Gujarat and managed by EDII, a comprehensive
                 support ecosystem has been created for women. The initiative aims to provide
                 training, incubation, mentoring and market linkages, to women. Through various
                 programmes  implemented  under  the  WEP  –  Gujarat  Chapter,  more  than  2500
                 women have benefited till date.

                 • Association with National Commission for Women

                 EDII associated with National Commission for Women, in 2023-24, to conduct 100
                 Entrepreneurship Awareness Programmes, thus training 5976 women across 35
                 States and Union Territories.



                 EDII  is  massively  undertaking  women  entrepreneurship  with  focus  on
                 entrepreneurship training, skill development and capacity building. We foresee
 Dr. Ravikant Gupta, General Manager, HAL, inaugurated the Food Processing Training-cum- Production   brighter days ahead, with entrepreneurship ecosystem also supporting women as
 Centre (TCPC) at Doddaballapur. Also present were Mr. C. K. Manjunath, Additional General Manager,   entrepreneurs and women-led enterprises through SHE-Marts.

 Hearteningly, under Project UDAYA 4.0, supported by Tata Communications Limited, over
 the last one year, 60 micro-enterprises were established by women entrepreneurs in the   View Point  Union Budget 2026
 Raigad and Ratnagiri districts, generating employment for 90 people.


                                          The Union Budget 2026 rightly positions MSMEs as
                                          ‘Champion Enterprises’ by strengthening equity and
                                          liquidity  support,  including  a  Rs.  10,000  crore  SME
                                          Growth Fund and additional Rs. 2,000 crore for micro
                                          enterprises.  The  focus  on  women-led  enterprises
                                          through  SHE-Marts  builds  on  the  momentum  of
                                          initiatives like Lakhpati Didi, enabling women to move
                                          from  credit-based  livelihoods  to  enterprise
