Students visited the Canton Fair in Guangzhou, China,
from April 25, 2025, attending both the second and
third phases of the exhibition. The visit offered Uttarakhand to Promote Tech-based Ventures...
valuable exposure to global emerging trades, product
sourcing and international market. During the fair,
students connected with transporters and sourcing
agents thus, gaining practical insights into the global
supply chain and client engagement. The experience
enriched their academic and entrepreneurial learning
and ensured that they acknowledged the importance
of cross-border business interactions.
June 4, 2025: In a landmark step towards building an entrepreneurial ecosystem in the
technical education sector of Uttarakhand, the Technical Education Department, Government
of Uttarakhand, signed an MoU with EDII in the esteemed presence of (3rd from R) Shri Subodh
Uniyal, Hon’ble Minister for Technical Education, Government of Uttarakhand. The MoU was
signed between (2nd from R) Dr. Ranjeet Sinha, Secretary, Technical Education and (3rd from L)
Dr. Sunil Shukla, Director General, EDII. Also present on the occasion were (R) Dr. Amit Kumar
Dwivedi, Professor, EDII; (2nd from L) Shri Desh Raj, Director, Directorate of Technical Education
and (L) Dr. Rajesh Kumar Upadhyay; Secretary, Uttarakhand Technical Education Board.
EDII is already implementing the Devbhoomi Udyamita Yojana in higher education institutions
under the Department of Higher Education, Government of Uttarakhand. This MoU came
about after witnessing the impact of the Devbhoomi Udyamita Yojana initiative. As a part of
this MoU entrepreneurship education and tech - based innovation opportunities will be
extended to students pursuing technical education.
April 10, 2025: In an elaborate meeting with Dr. N Yuvaraj, IAS, Secretary, Dept. of
Industries & Commerce, Govt. of Andhra Pradesh, Dr. Sunil Shukla explored the
possibilities of setting up an Entrepreneurship Development Centre in Vijayawada.
