43 Years of Entrepreneurial Journey
                               Entrepreneurship is about the vision and the efforts of the person-behind-the-project,
                               and hence we say that it can be pursued like any other discipline. This was so well
                               corroborated by our Chief Guest when he referred to EDII trained graduates as
                                                                                                                                          Over 43 years, EDII has ensured that entrepreneurship emerges as a powerful tool,
                               “leaders who can navigate complexity, transform ideas into scalable solutions, and
                                                                                                                                          transforming  millions  of  lives.  Staying  true  to  this  spirit,  the  Institute  has  remained
                               link innovation with global competitiveness while staying true to India's values and
                                                                                                                                          committed to supporting and nurturing entrepreneurship through education, training,
                               needs.”                                                                                                    research, and institution building.
                                                                                                                                          The Institute celebrated its 43rd Foundation Day on 20th April 2025. Dr. Pramod Sawant,

                                                                                                                                          Also present were Dr. Sunil Shukla, Director General, EDII; Dr. Raman Gujral, Professor &
                                                                                                                                          Director- Department of CSR Partnerships, EDII and Dr. Satya Ranjan Acharya, Professor&
                               Dr. Saraswat’s emphasis  on the critical role of entrepreneurs in the Viksit Bharat and                    Director  -  Department  of  Entrepreneurship  Education,  EDII.  Dignitaries  from  the
                               Global  Development  Imperative  was  just  apt.    He  said,  “We  stand  at  an                          Government,  corporates,  Industry  associations  and  the  academia  also  attended  the
                               unprecedented  moment  in  India's  journey,  where  the  vision  of Viksit  Bharat,  a                    event which focussed on establishing how entrepreneurship, startups and innovations
                                                                                                                                          were impacting the socio-economic growth of the country.
                               developed  India  by  2047,  is  not  merely  a  government  policy  but  a  collective
                               aspiration that requires entrepreneurs like you to be its primary architects. “


                               I feel happy that EDII is into the business of creating entrepreneurs and that EDII-
                               trained students are making a mark for themselves and the country, as forward-
                               looking entrepreneurs.


                               Entrepreneurship has to take centre stage, for it is beyond just setting up a business; it
                               encompasses the spirit to step outside the comfort zone to leverage opportunities,
                               innovate, co-opt resources and ‘lead’ to create.


                               I join the very eminent Dr. Saraswat in wishing the trained to-be entrepreneurs to
                               become  “skilled  translators  —  of  possibilities  into  realities,  of  research  into
                               solutions, of innovations into meaningful impact.”
