Rishi was in SSC when he enrolled for the National Summer Camp for Entrepreneurial Stimulation at EDII. He had joined the camp at the insistence of his parents but claims that he remembers feeling extremely happy, confident and accomplished by the end of the camp. 

Rishi went on to complete his undergraduate degree in Computer Science from Gujarat Technological University (GTU) and pursued a career as a back-end developer for a digital Marketing firm in Mumbai for one and a half years. Soon after, to gather business acumen, he joined his family business in the exports division, and handled responsibilities as the Vice President of the firm. He worked with international clients and generated business worth approximately USD 10 million.

Rishi says, “The learnings that I took home with me from the camp became the base for me to work on in future. I am still in touch with EDII faculty. I can never forget the competencies and the values instilled in me. To list what I actually gained from the camp, I would say, 

• I developed a good understanding of business at a very young age. 
• I could imbibe the learning very well as the teaching methodology was a mix of simulation exercises, role plays, case study analysis, classroom teaching, interaction with achievers and practical exposure. 
• The confidence that I developed played magic in my life later. 
• Networking, harnessing resources, people skills, leadership skills and other traits were instilled in us and these have really helped me in life and business later.”
