Punit Lalbhai, an alumnus of EDII’s 1997 Summer Camp, is a visionary leader who combines business acumen with a deep commitment to environmental stewardship. As the Vice Chairman of Arvind Limited, he guides the conglomerate’s diverse operations in textiles, advanced materials and engineering, redefining what it means to be a sustainable industrial powerhouse.

 

Punit has been the driving force of Arvind’s acclaimed sustainability strategy. He has led the charge in transforming the company into a global model of eco-friendly innovation, achieving remarkable milestones such as 100% water circularity in textile production and sourcing nearly half of the company’s energy from renewable sources. His initiatives also reach the grassroots level, engaging over 90,000 farmers in sustainable cotton production.

 

Punit also contributes to academia and conservation through board memberships at institutions like Ahmedabad University, the Sustainable Apparel Coalition and the Wildlife Trust of India.
