Prashant Bangur, an alumnus of EDII’s Summer Camp, exemplifies the transformative power of entrepreneurial vision in the corporate world. As Vice Chairman of Shree Cement, one of India’s leading cement manufacturers, he is playing a pivotal role in driving the company’s strategic growth and sustainable development.

With a strong academic foundation, Prashant began his journey at Shree Cement from the ground up. Starting as a trainee, he gained hands-on experience before rising to leadership roles. Today, his insights guide the company’s critical strategic, policy and operational decisions.

His leadership combines traditional values with a forward-thinking approach, emphasizing innovation and efficiency. A notable early achievement was personally overseeing the commissioning of a new plant in Ras, Rajasthan, ensuring its optimal design.

Prashant has been recognized as a ‘New Sustainability Champion’ by the World Economic Forum. He spearheaded pioneering initiatives such as using pet coke as fuel and manufacturing synthetic gypsum, a patented innovation. In 2021, The Economic Times named him one of India’s Top 40 Leaders Under 40.
