Santoshi faced numerous challenges, including unsupportive in-laws and her husband’s health issues, which compounded the family’s struggles. Her husband’s prior experience as a driver for a printing press owner provided a foundational understanding of the business. She joined the Ekta Self-Help Group (SHG) in 2016 proved pivotal. Through the SHG, Santoshi came to know about the SVEP and EDII.

Recognizing the increasing local demand for printing services, they identified a promising business opportunity. However, they faced emotional and mental challenges from family and societal pressures, along with a lack of resources and knowledge of modern printing technologies. Despite these obstacles, they persevered. With a total investment of Rs. 3,50,000, they launched ‘Solanki Printers’.

EDII mentors provided crucial support, including training, financial literacy, and business management guidance. They also facilitated loan access and encouraged the adoption of modern technologies. This assistance was important in establishing and growing their business. Looking forward, Santoshi aims to expand Solanki Printers by diversifying product offerings and incorporating advanced technologies to target larger markets and contracts. Her journey highlights the power of resilience and the impact of support programmes in empowering aspiring entrepreneurs.
