Priyadarshini M., a young entrepreneur from Melur near Madurai, has built a thriving business crafting and selling cow dung products. After her husband’s death, she faced several financial difficulties. She became the sole provider for her three young children, her father, and her in-laws. “My children were growing, and our expenses were increasing,” she explained. “I wanted to work, but I didn’t know where to begin.”

A turning point came when she learned about the EDII Micro Skill Development Programme (MSDP). She contacted EDII representatives, after understanding her situation, later with assistance from EDII she enrolled in the MSDP training. This training empowered her to launch ‘Sudhan Pooja Products’.

Sixteen days of MSDP training revealed the potential of her business. Initially, she made small batches of products to sell quickly and return home to her children. Now, her children assist her, and they work together. Priyadarshini’s story is one of resilience and determination. “We must persevere to find happiness,” she says. “Without hard work, we cannot succeed. It’s better to do something than to stay at home.”
