Manisha Maurya from Khalishpur village, a member of the Sita Ram Self Help Group, embarked on a journey of empowerment.  She came to know about the Start-up Village Entrepreneurship Programme (SVEP) through the Santoshi Mahila Gram Sangathan. A Community Resource Person-Enterprise Promotion (CRP-EP) Reema Devi, supported Manish, facilitating SVEP loan process, facilitating connecting her with local women’s organizations, and guiding her through the Prime Minister’s Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP) application process.

Manish identified a need for cement pipes manufacturing in local market and started her business with the help of SVEP loan and her own savings. Initially, she faced numerous challenges such as finishing of pipes and wastage. However, undeterred, she learned from another entrepreneur, where she gained knowledge about machine operations.

Manish received a loan of Rs. 5 lakh from the Prime Minister’s Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP) in the month of November 2024. Now, she plans to expand her business, increase production, and focus on growth and development. Her journey is a testament to resilience, resourcefulness, and the power of community support.
