Project PRERNA: Promoting Entrepreneurship by Rejuvenating and Nurturing Aspirations (Sponsored by IFCI Limited)


The Institute collaborated with IFCI Social Foundation (IFCI Limited) to implement Project PRERNA to create entrepreneurship awareness among students of classes 8 to 10 in Ghaziabad and Bulandshahar districts of western Uttar Pradesh. Concluded in September 2024, This one year project gave the participants insights into an entrepreneurial journey – from identifying opportunities and conceptualizing ideas to developing business plans. The specific objectives included:

Create entrepreneurship- related awareness among 1500 school students.

Train school teachers to mentor students in entrepreneurship- related soft skills and competencies.

Create an entrepreneurship promotion model for 15 schools in Uttar Pradesh.

Highlights

Entrepreneurship Awareness Programmes were conducted in 15 schools, sensitizing 1900 students.

32 faculty members were trained under Capacity Building Programmes.

100 students participated in the Hackathon and out of these 10 students were awarded for their innovative ideas.
