To foster inclusive growth and create entrepreneurial pathways for women, EDII, with the support of Standard Chartered Bank, launched Project SANKALP in March 2024. The 15- month project was designed to empower 700 rural and semi-urban women from 10 locations of Karnataka and Tamil Nadu. The project equipped rural women with entrepreneurial skills through Micro Skillpreneurship Development Programmes (MSDPs).
Entrepreneurial skills & competencies, digital enablement, access to credit & markets and financial literacy were the major project highlights which helped the beneficiaries ensure sustainable livelihoods.

420 Jobs created.
₹39,44,600 of loan availed under Central / State government schemes.
380 Brand logos and product catalogues developed.
481 beneficiaries use digital payments (Google Pay, PhonePe, BharatPe).
529 registrations completed (UDYAM / FSSAI / Artisan).
594 social media accounts created for product marketing across platforms (Instagram, Facebook, WhatsApp).
Out of the trained participants, 92% have initiated their own micro-enterprises in food processing, handicrafts, and value-added products.
Additionally, 78% beneficiaries were supported in obtaining UDYAM, FSSAI, and Artisan Cards for business formalization.
