Project Pragati

Launched in 2024, under the sponsorship of Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL), Project Pragati is a three-year initiative to socially and economically empower women and youth residing near the Rishikesh–Karnprayag Rail Corridor, Uttarakhand. The project focuses on identifying skill gaps and shifting community mindsets toward entrepreneurship, thereby creating sustainable livelihoods aligned with opportunities emerging from the railway corridor’s development.

Highlights

  • 💡 Six Entrepreneurship Awareness Programmes (EAPs) were conducted.
  • 👥 240 individuals were sensitized.
  • 🎓 75 participants underwent MSDP training.

Impact

  • 🌱 In an entirely employment-dependent community, widespread entrepreneurship awareness has been created.
  • 🏡 The beneficiaries are actively exploring local resource-based businesses.
