The Microskillpreneurship Development Programmes, supported by HAL and managed by EDII, are actively fostering skills to encourage entrepreneurship, particularly among women and other disadvantaged groups. This includes individuals from SCs, STs, OBCs, minorities, and those with disabilities, in and around the districts of Chikkaballapur, Kolar, and Bangalore Rural in Karnataka. The 3-year project commenced on July, 2023.

The key objectives of the project are to:

• enhance support for potential entrepreneurs through mentorship and networks
• foster innovation-driven entrepreneurship to address the needs of the population at the bottom of the pyramid
• enhance the skill inventory of the target group
• Promote inclusive growth
• broaden the base of entrepreneurial supply by meeting specific needs of socially and geographically disadvantaged sections of society and bringing them into mainstream economic activities.
